Introduction

My name is Paul Meyers.  I am a lifelong Hoosier living in Indianapolis. I completed my undergrad at Purdue and attended an electrician apprenticeship through the IBEW in the early 2000s.  Anyone from central Indiana may be familiar with the Circle of Lights display on the monument downtown.  Our organization puts up the lights to kick off the annual holiday festivities.

Professionally, I am the assistant director of training at the the Electrical Training Institute.  In addition to my classroom role, I developed our Moodle-based LMS with 45+ courses and function as the server administrator, curriculum coordinator, class scheduler, and onsite IT support.  I also work as a consultant for the Electrical Training Alliance.  I have authored a textbook on process instrumentation and developed several lab manuals for electrical automation systems.

Academically, I am completing my Master’s degree in Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University. I am deeply interested in how adults learn and how technology can be leveraged to increase learning transfer. Outside work, I enjoy running, reading, photography, and spending time with my wife and Purdue Sophomore.
